She's a funny girl

Mia was enjoying a bowl of ice cream while I cleaned the kitchen. Madison was hanging out working on a project. Mia says, "I love ice cream but it hurts my teeth sometimes. I think it is because my teeth are very emotional." Madison corrects her by saying, "You mean sensitive."

How our garden is growing

So glad to have this lady on aphid patrol. She and her friends are doing a terrific job. I am tempted to try some blossoms fried- any reports on the flavor?

An afternoon at Coronado Island

What day is it?

We are home from a wonderful Easter trip to San Diego. Just a few pictures and moments to share. I am somewhat rested, caught-up and on task. So to keep it that way, I won't post much tonight.

This adorable face was the first thing we saw upon entering Craig's (my bil) home. This is Ace and he is the sweetest 14 week old chocolate lab ever. This is the best picture I got of him as he started to wiggle every time I came near him with the camera. He kept us all entertained on a continuous basis.

The weather was fabulous even with one cloudy day! After all, there is no such thing as bad weather in San Diego. The girls below are all ready for church on Easter morning. We attended a wonderful Easter play at Lighthouse. Craig and Keith served up an Easter dinner of steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and salad. We ate outside overlooking the pool. The Lord is so good and I praise Him for each day!

Full Bloom

Keith came in today after a long, extra day at work and noticed the flowers on the table. They were one of my treasures from today's farmer's market. I had my camera in my hand and he asked for it. This is the picture he took. What a sweet husband!

Anticipation

They just can't wait to get in for the first time. Every spring brings anticipation for summer activities. They LOVE to swim. Grandpa thinks they are part fish.

Debi and Keith made a wonderful summer-time dinner. Grilled burgers, fruit, macaroni salad and strawberry shortcake.

They want to swim again today!

We had a wonderful time at the fine arts competition. Madison placed first over all in Science for her division and third overall in the spelling bee. Mia took home a second place ribbon for History. Forgive me for bragging just a little. It's a bit more acceptable from a momma, right! God has blessed my girls with an amazing Christian based education. I am also so thankful for a Pastor who invests so much in all of our children. Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING!

This is how she comes down the stairs

Is it wrong that I have asked her not to come down this way because the stair rail is origianl to when the house was built (1929) and it might not be the safest thing to do? Or is it wrong that this time I did not scold her but instead took her picture?!
