We have been blessed with the most beautiful weather the past few weeks. High seventies and sunshine causes a bit of spring fever. I have been cleaning away after the Christmas celebrating. Candles have been switched to lighter fragrances. The dark throws put away until next fall. All the changing put me in the mood for new throw pillows. I was not in the mood for overpriced, see-it-everywhere, pillows. Also not in the mood for a huge sewing project. Instead I grabbed a two pack of dishtowels at my favorite retail hangout. Being into a bit of a floral mood as of late, I embellished them with scrap fabric flowers (inspired by
this post). Sewn, stuffed and ready for spring. Not perfect, just fun!
The butterfly towel was just sewn and stuffed. Looking back I would have liked to stitch around some of the butterflies and maybe add some sequins of some kind. Simple is good too :)
Today we were blessed with some much needed rain. The bright, new pillows kept the inside sunny.
